Saturday madness.
Last Saturday was one of the busiest weekend I had. I met Watie to passed the bridesmaids' heels for their fittings then rushed to Teban for my cousin's engagement ceremony. Since I came after 3pm, my wishful thoughts of not following the troupe for the proposal. But, I was wrong when the whole family was awaiting my arrival. Didn't even managed to filled my growling stomach, I have to head out to Sembawang. It was a little hasty so, not many pictures capured. I am a sucker for family gathering, made plans for the upcoming Hari Raya and many others. I love them except the part when they start pestering about marriage. Boo!
Later in the evening, I head down Serangoon to meet Dida for our long awaited RSVP-night as she have extra invites. We then proceeded down to House at Dempsey Hill and meet Dee with the boyfriend. It was a special event hosted by the FM98.7 crews which was more to laidback bar rather than partying the night away. As usual, we had our dosage of non-alcoholic drinks which we held on in fear of getting forfeited if get caught with a 'buffalo'. We had a fair bit of chatting and usual camwh*ring before ending the night at Ming Arcade for a croaking session. That's the only part we cracked a dance or two. As I walked out of the building, I bumped into Aidil... Had a short chat and run for the car. It ended at 6am, what a long day! P.S. Thanks Heartshape for coming all the way to spoil me and bring me home safe and sound. It feels complete spending my weekends with you. I'm like a happy little girl. *blows a kiss |

Anfield in Singapore.
Note: A special entry to minimized the flooding pictures, this is not even half of what was caught on camera. Thanks to Kak Alynn for the digicam that keep us company through the whole day.
On 26th July 2009; the day I most anticipated, the day I meet the real Reds. As early as 2pm, we had joined the queue at National Stadium to get a good view of the whole match through the East entrance. All were donned in the signature jerseys and some with outrageous costumes. It's really nice to see those official fan clubs from Indonesia and Brunei to braced this once in a lifetime occasion as such. The gate was opened approximately at 3pm and it was an 'amazing race' thereafter. Everyone running up the stairs to their seats for the best viewing pleasure and we are not excluded from the whole ordeal. It gets a little chaotic and out of hand when a Manchester United fan was sitted in the midst of a pool of Liverpool's diehard fans. I would say, brainless on his part. After the long boo-ing and continuous blasting of the horns, he was ushered out by the security. He then came in with a new Singapore jersey and everything was cool off. Later we started singing the chants and witnessed as the empty stadium began to streamed it with thousands of spectators. It was a little disappointing at first but as the clock strikes 7pm, unexpectedly it was full to the brim on my side and a sell-out at the grandstand. I was caught in the middle of supporting Singapore and Liverpool at the same time. Afterall, I can't forget my roots. During the first half, they had an outstanding play to hold on to their stand as a home team. But I believe substituting Shahril Ishak and Noh Alam Shah were the worse decision they have made. While the Lions lacks of the key players, the Reds took opportunity to bring in their stars. That only led to a major disaster and I know they'll get trashed real bad which ended with a 5-0 victory to Liverpool, unshockingly. But, I believed just being able to play on the same field with them is like a dream come true. That shall succumbed. Every cent of the ticket's money was worth it when we managed to witnessed almost the whole squad on the field during second half. The best part was, the Reds played way better than the previous game against Thailand. Banners and such were exhibit and we singing 'Alonso don't go' as he reached the pitch. I really hope they hear out our bidding. The whole team parade through the stadium giving everyone a good glimpse. It's nice to know when Benitez said that it felt like they are playing in their homeground; Anfield. Yup! We made the 12th man in Asia. I could have sworn, I was literally starstrucked. |

Mikaeel (Michael Jackson).
Michael Jackson (MJ) was known as the most loving person in the world. He gave up most of his assets for charity and all his life, he fought for equality of the African Americans, AIDS victims, Against Drug Abuse, Against Abortion, Against Child Labor and secretly channeled his properties for the hungry children of the world. However, he wasn't peace at heart. He always think of himself as a child trapped inside a man's body. Being Peter Pan is all his dream, never to grow up, forever a child. That inspires him to build Neverland - a heaven for children. Children of all ages and races are welcomed to Neverland. MJ had so much love to give. However, he made a mistake which he didn't know of the consequences. He saw the peaceful life his brother, Jermaine (Muhammad Abdul Aziz) had as a Muslim - true, Jermaine faced so much pressure that he moved to Bahrain. In 1989, MJ made a press conference which shocked the world, ".. I have seen the Islam in the life of my brother, I have read the books about Islam. And I'd love to someday feel the calmness and peace of Islam .." Since that, MJ's life was never the same again. He was accused of so many accusations against child molestation. MJ was not someone who can deal with much pressure as he is a 'delicate child'. All the extortion and black mail followed after that. Everything he did was being seen as wrong in the eyes of the Media. All these are to influence his fans to hate MJ. If he is hated, then he would not be influencial anymore. For several years, he stayed in England. Getting motivation from a long time friend, Cat Stevens, who had converted into Islam - named Yusuf Islam. From him, MJ learnt how Yusuf had survived being Muslim. He made friends with a song writer, Zain Bhikha. He who wrote a song titled 'Give thanks to Allah' which he wanted MJ to sing whenever he is ready.
Following his trial, MJ withdrew to Bahrain, where he was the special guest of Sheik Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the son of Bahrain’s king. It was then that Michael began to give conversion more “serious thought”. MJ stayed in Bahrain for approximately 3 years. He studied Islam, the prayers and learn to read the Koran (al-Quran). Finally, he came back to Los Angeles and in November 2008 MJ had formally converted to Islam in a ceremony at a close friend’s house in Los Angeles. He perform Haj with the King of Bahrain and son on December 2008.. He had a hidden agenda when he wanted to make a final comeback. He annouced in a press conference on March 2009, "..This will be my final concert. I'll see you all in July.." He planned that during his concert, he would announce that this is the final concert as he wouldn't be performing anymore. He will declare that he is a Muslim and will only sing with Yusuf Islam and Friends. At the end of the concert, he will be singing the song, 'Give Thanks to Allah' with Yusuf Islam. That is the reason why he chose London as his final concert venue instead of the USA. It was because he thought he could escape the USA's extortion, and that he could perform with yusuf Islam who is in England. At 12.30am, 25th June 2009, he hugged his production manager and said, "After reherasing for 2 months, I am finally ready for the concert. ".. Before leaving to sleep, he waved his dancers, "It was a good night everyone. I'll see you all tomorrow .." The next thing, he was pronouced dead at 2.26am. When 911 was called, there are so much questions asked. It is as if they didn't know who MJ is and where he lived. The questions asked are more towards to delay time. The hospital said the autopsy result can only be obtained after 2 months - very illogical as even the worst African technology could obtain the result in less than 2 weeks. MJ's family members opt for second private autopsy as they started to feel something fishy is going on. The result came out in about 4 days - MJ was drugged with high dosage of anaesthetic - drug that brings about a reversible loss of consciousness, if used to much could stop the heart from beating.Another result which was not aired in the media was, MJ's stomach is empty of this drug, but his blood were filled with it - same case as the death of Marilyn Monroe. The private doctors also found many needle marks, afraid to be forced injections given to MJ on his bed.In CNN Live after a week, Barack Obama was interviewed. And he said, "I love MJ, I grew up listening to his songs. It is a great loss, but rest assured that there is no conspiracy in his death. "Now, why must a President made such statement before the official autopsy result came out? How would he know that there is no conspiracy without the post-mortem result? Seems like someone is afraid of his shadows. MJ was known to the world as a person who is against drug abuse. Why must he be addicted to drug, then? If he wanted to commit suicide, why rehearse for his concert? And why will he want to see his dancers the next day? Enough about his death. I am sure people around the world is not stupid anymore. These supreme power can fool us during the Marilyn Monroe conspiracy, Martin Luther King and Princess Diana. But in this MJ's case, they left too many loopholes for those who think MJ left us with this unfinished studio-recorded song: MJ's family was about to give him a Muslim burial with the help of The Brotherhood of Islam. But, the CIA showed up at Neverland's door - blackmailed them that if they do so publicly, Katherine (MJ's mother) would be pull off from MJ's 3 children's custody as well as MJ's estates. Instead, they'll hire Debbie Rowe for the purpose, and the court will be in their favour. So much for democracy and fairness. Finally, they agreed to let MJ have a Muslim Burial in Neverland. But in condition, must show to the public a Christian Memorial Service, as to prove to the world that MJ was never a Muslim. So, Staples Centre was just a normal show. That's why the coffin was closed and sealed. MJ was buried days earlier. The Gold Coffin was empty. They were about to bury the Coffin according to Christianity ways in Hollywood - as in their deal with the USA Government. These happened, because the USA is afraid of the rising numbers of Muslims in the world. |

Happily ever after.
Indeed I am a sucker for happy ending especially when that person means a whole lot to me. On 12 July 2009, I attended her wedding reception along with my BFFs, Watie and Aiyda, all the way at Kampung Ubi CC. We never imagined that we got ourselves into this kind of traditional vibes and was taken aback when we saw a handful of girls wore tube-top, spaghetti strap or even low cut dress which is rather inappropriate for such occasion. I wonder to myself where has our culture drown into? Hence, our presence invites unwanted stares but at least, we were donning a right outfit and that shall succumbed from the discomfort. Our main purpose of it all was to witness both the ravishing bride and groom.
As we totally forgotten to bring envelopes for the money, we decided to get her a gift set from Crabtree & Evelyn. We were welcomed with warmth by the bride's mother. My eyes were fixed to the beautiful portrait of them at the entrance and didn't missed the chance to leave our well wishes in her guestbook. I love the whole setup of her wedding which includes the food served. I especially drools over the 'sambal goreng pengantin'. Didn't managed to stay too long nor catch up caused there were massive crowd but, we did snapped a picture or two. As we have other plans for the day, we got changed and headed our own ways. Probably, I enjoyed that little talk I and Heartshape had while walking aimlessly and pictured beautiful things in my mind. It amazed me how this topic arise and he is the first person I am getting all cheesy on this whole issue. My eyes glowed gleefully which I doubt he realized. Hopefully that day will come for me. Insyallah! For now, I'll just share my utmost joy to their marital bliss. May the knot tied between you both stays eternally and made the love even stronger than ever before; Isnahwati and Zaini. |

Weird cravings.
I remembered we mixed and matched our own nitty gritty to came out with this finger licking dish. It was during a friend's birthday picnic at Pasir Ris Park. Since I had my first bite, I couldn't stop munching away despite the bloated tummy. By the way, that big tupperware was passed around and were shared between four girls. The appetite got even better when I have great eating companion to start with. And here's the end product followed by the secret concoctions. Haha! I am craving for this already when Nannie posted it up in Facebook. 1 full tupperware of Nasi Kunyit 3 scoops of' 'very spicy' Ayam Masak Merah 3 sticks of home-boiled Fishballs 2 packets of Prawn Crackers A generous portion of Love and Laughter |

Quizzical.
1) How can she feels the pinch when all that my friend twitter-ed was solely dedicated to this irritating girl at her workplace like as if everything in this world revolves around her?
2) How can a 'rambut celop jamban' (hair dunked in the toilet bowl) feels so vexed when one of my favorite blogger writes about blondes in response to the top blogger's recent entry? 3) How can one offered a meetup for that girly confrontation but, insisted in bringing the opposite gender to settle their scores? 4) How can she be so worried that her 'kepo friends' will be there too; I thought she have lots of friends and that she is so popular in high school or probably I thought wrong? 5) How can a stayhome mother have so much time dissing online or read the same book 73642935 times; prolly, her life is that boring? 6) How can she implicate irrelevant parties and most certainly, innocent into this mayhem that she herself created for years now? It's getting stale already. 7) How can one confessed 'he wasn't the first guy she do it with' and think her dirty laundry is not as filthy as compared to my friend who has been with the same man for 7 years? 8) How can an amateur mother thinks she make a better caretaker than the real mother whom bare the kids for nine months in her womb succumbing to her pain and heartache for a total trainwreck like her? 9) How can she claimed my friend as a female dog when she is the one who is leashing the husband like a dog herself? A picture/icon in your blog speaks a thousand words by itself. 10) How can she be so gullible as to think that this top bloggers will have time to entertain her though, I should give the credit for her great effort? Tell me, how can? I am totally flabbergusted beyond words by her. Like, seriously! |

Unfaithful.
Being more inclined to Indonesian and English songs, this locally written song strucked me by surprise. It was sang by a talented singer whom gave me goosebumps all over. I first listened to Nana's powerful vocals way back in those 'dikir barat' days and later part, when she entered Singapore Idol but got eliminated in the early stage. With her deep expressions really brings this song to a whole new level. I'm truly impressed!
To me its best dedicated to them who have been heartbroken by that opposite gender. It also a reminder to those whom remains unfaithful cause people tends to take things for granted till they finally lost them. Perhaps that will be too late for regrets. I could have sworn I was close to tears hearing the lyrics with reminisced of the hurtful past but, that just made me stronger and changed my perspective on love. I never hate but thanked them cause they made me better. I am ubberly blessed to have a bunch of friends who helped me pick up those broken puzzles when I was at the lowest stage of my life. Through that, I realize whom are worth for keepsake and whom were just there in times of joy. And through the long haul of Mr Wrongs, it has finally led me to the one whom I want to spend my life with. Its none other than him. And despite all that, I own the best family to catch me when I fall and giving me their endless attention to my every whim and fancy. Alhamdulilah! |

A moment in time.
This was abstracted from one of the scenes in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen whereby many of you 'movie enthusiast' would have watched and start raving about therefore, I shall spare that. Cause by now, everyone should know how magnificant the two hours or so filled with action packed. I, on the other hand is rather fascinated by this picture. Despite battling between life and death, Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox still entwined their fingers with each other. I hope the love I have for Heartshape will be as strong as this and vise versa. Life is too short to live in regrets nor drown in sorrows. Stay down for awhile and get back up! Hence, treasure every minute of your life in case tomorrow never comes. I love you, love. On a related note on love, it kept me wondering how I first know him with his 'center-parting' hair and popular for his liking of Bobdog; a longest friendship since high school. While I witness him saying his vows and getting solemnized, I can't helped but stifled a tear or two. I hope your love will grow day by day endlessly. I'm just so proud at how much you've grown to be a better man and now, a husband. From a failed past relationship, I'm sure it made you wiser to have finally chosen the right one to spend your lifetime with. May this marital bliss last a lifetime and thereafter, Nadzry and Noi. You are the first to do such event at the mosque, on a Thursday night and may you get all the blessing with the positive nawaitu (motive)! Wickeds is still here to stay and nope, my turn is still a long way to go. *winks P.S. Perangai chuber ubah eh! Dari dulu sampai sekarang, pakai bedak mesti bercapok. Haha! ------------------------------ Updated on 05 July 2009. It has been eons since I last saw the groom; Bobby as well as Nadz and the family. Seeing how Ryan has been growing up made me realize how fast time has flew us by. Prolly, the main reason I love weddings mainly because I never knew who I'll meet with and its always the best time to catch up on life. I thought I was dressup a little inappropriate for the reception at AlMawaddah Mosque however, I was proven wrong. I shall not elaborate on that however, the long journey back home with that family was a joy to me, at least. Nothing beats our usual 'wicked' antics (interrupting on people's picture-perfect) and throw our tantrums when people step on our toes. God! Those were the days. You people will be the first in my invitation list when my time comes, no doubt about that. Fret not! xoxo, Sery Danceholic . . |
